The event, named ‘Handloom Conclave – Manthan’, will take place in Delhi and will gather weavers, manufacturers, retailers, buyers, designers, academics, startup founders, entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and e-commerce firms, representing all facets of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 5F - Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.

Sessions during the conclave will emphasize strategies aimed at making the handloom sector appealing to the younger generation and engaging youth in the development of a more dynamic and sustainable value chain.

Further discussions will aim to enhance value propositions through various technical interventions and the use of social and digital media, as per the statement.

Approximately 250 stakeholders are expected to attend, including 21 panelists, 120 handloom beneficiaries from across the nation, 35 officials from Weavers Service Centres, around 25 state government officials (from handloom, silk, and textiles), and representatives from various departments within the textiles ministry.

This initiative is in line with the government’s ongoing efforts to boost the livelihoods of weavers and enhance the overall handloom sector.
