Chandigarh, Oct 28 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that addressing the concerns of citizens is a fundamental duty of the government.
“The entrance to the Chief Minister’s residence remains open around the clock to address public concerns. Additionally, the district administration conducts ‘Samadhan Camps’ every Monday and Thursday to engage with community grievances,” an official statement from the Chief Minister revealed.
During a recent Jan Samvad (public dialogue) event in Ladwa, CM Saini addressed the issues raised by approximately 200 residents from the Ladwa Assembly Constituency, covering topics such as BPL ration cards, family ID cards, electricity, and police-related matters. Following the grievance session, the Chief Minister also took part in a tree plantation initiative at the PWD Rest House grounds.
CM Saini emphasized that the government prioritizes the welfare of farmers. “Currently, all crops in the state are being procured at the minimum support price (MSP).” Recently, the MSP for sugarcane was set at Rs 415 per quintal. He noted that approximately Rs 1,48,000 crore has been transferred to 12 lakh farmers as payments for crop procurement.
He announced the elimination of the long-standing “aabiana” system, which originated during the British era, to ease the burden on farmers. The Chief Minister also pointed out that Haryana offers the highest social security pension in India, recently raised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,200 per month.
Moreover, the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana has been introduced, providing economically disadvantaged women with a monthly financial aid of Rs 2,100 starting November 1.
The Chief Minister remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to transform India into a developed country by 2047. He has advocated for the ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives, bolstering the economy through GST reforms.
He also highlighted several developmental and welfare programs initiated by the current government.
