Gurugram, April 23 (NationPress) The Civil Surgeon of Gurugram and Co-convener of the District Registration Authority, Dr. Alka Singh, has issued a show cause notice to the medical director of a private hospital regarding the sexual assault case involving an air hostess that occurred in Gurugram on Wednesday.

An official stated that the notice was issued following directives from Kumari Aarti Singh Rao, the Health and Family Welfare Minister of Haryana.

The notice, which addresses the sexual harassment case of a female patient in the hospital, emphasizes that the hospital management must adhere to the Charter of the Rights and Responsibilities of the Patient. It mandates that confidentiality, human dignity, and privacy be upheld during treatment as outlined in Section 6 of the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act. Furthermore, Section 7 stipulates that a female attendant must be present when a male doctor conducts a physical examination of a female patient.

The notice indicated that both stipulations were breached by the hospital in this incident.

Additionally, the hospital has been instructed to submit a response within five working days as per Section 40 of the CEA Act (2010).

Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has apprehended the suspect linked to the air hostess sexual assault case.

During the suspect's interrogation, it was revealed that he had viewed pornographic videos prior to and following the crime. This information is currently being verified through the suspect's mobile phone search history.

The SIT arrested the suspect on Friday, analyzing over 800 CCTV cameras positioned both inside and outside the hospital, where the assault occurred while the woman was on a ventilator.

The individual has been identified as Deepak (25), a resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

Deepak had been employed as a treatment machine technician in the ICU of the hospital for the past five months.
