Chandigarh, Jan 29 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the upcoming state Budget for 2026-27 will embody the aspirations, trust, and needs of the ordinary citizen.
“Our government's main focus is to formulate a Budget that leads to visible progress and ensures that the benefits of our schemes reach the populace directly. The Budget will prioritize public expectations and the welfare of all community segments. We are placing special importance on enhancing administrative effectiveness, embracing technological advancements, and optimizing resource utilization,” the Chief Minister noted.
To achieve this, ongoing consultations are being held with various stakeholders and officials to thoroughly discuss every aspect of the Budget.
During a review meeting with senior officials from key departments, the Chief Minister assessed the implementation status of the announcements and schemes made in the previous year's Budget.
The departments under review included Education, Development and Panchayats, Health, Medical Education, AYUSH, Women and Child Development, Urban Local Bodies, Revenue, Mines and Geology, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Cooperation, Prisons, Heritage and Tourism, and Sports.
CM Saini emphasized that the government is dedicated to serving the people's interests, and thus, both the government and the officials must collaborate with a commitment to public service. “The government is accountable to its citizens; therefore, all announcements and programs included in the Budget must be executed on the ground within the prescribed timeline.”
He reiterated that enhancing quality and improving service delivery in sectors such as education, health, women and child development, water resources, urban and rural development, infrastructure, and social welfare remains the government's top priority. Alongside fostering development through the Budget, the government will also ensure social justice and balanced growth.
The Chief Minister mentioned that there are continual dialogues with various sections and departments to make the Budget formulation process more inclusive, transparent, and results-driven for the benefit of all. Efforts will be made to improve the monitoring, evaluation, and effectiveness of schemes through the use of information technology and artificial intelligence in the Budget.
