Health Examination of Prashant Kishor Reveals No Serious Risks

Patna, Jan 3 (NationPress) A group of medical professionals performed a health assessment on the well-known political strategist and Jan Suraaj Party Chief Prashant Kishor on Friday, confirming that his organs are functioning normally and that no serious health risks were identified.
Kishor has been engaging in a hunger strike at Gandhi Maidan in Patna for the last 24 hours.
This protest aims to demand the annulment of the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary examination due to allegations of irregularities and a paper leak.
A medical team, led by Rajiv Ranjan, was sent by the district administration to evaluate Kishor's health.
The examination took place around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, over 24 hours after the Jan Suraaj Party Chief commenced his hunger strike on Thursday evening.
Following the assessment, Rajiv Ranjan reported that Kishor exhibits symptoms of mild bronchitis, which requires additional precautions, especially considering the cold weather.
"Despite the symptoms of bronchitis, all vital signs were normal, and no serious health risks were detected. Kishor's immune system was evaluated as strong, further indicating his overall good health," Ranjan stated.
"To prevent worsening the bronchitis symptoms, Kishor must take proper measures against the cold weather during his open-air protest," he added.
"Continued health evaluations will be essential to avoid any potential complications as the hunger strike continues," he noted.
Despite medical counsel and requests from the district administration, Kishor persists with his hunger strike, resolute in advocating for the demands of BPSC candidates.
Earlier on Friday, the Patna Additional District Magistrate visited the protest site, urging Kishor to conclude his hunger strike.
However, Kishor remained steadfast, stating: "Thousands of children have faith in me. On December 29, I urged the students to disregard the administration’s orders, but they were brutally cane-charged. I will not abandon this movement based on administrative directions."
The Jan Suraaj Party Chief underlined that the hunger strike will only cease if Chief Minister Nitish Kumar engages with the protesting BPSC students.
"The students themselves determine the next steps for the movement, and I would respect their decision," he mentioned.
