Gurugram, May 7 (NationPress) Sunil Swami, the father of Himanshi, the widow of Naval Officer Lt Vinay Narwal, who tragically lost his life in the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, has voiced his satisfaction regarding Operation Sindoor.
In a decisive early morning operation, the Indian Air Force launched missile strikes on nine terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
While addressing the media, Sunil Swami stated, "We had complete trust in the Modi-led BJP government that justice for the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam would be served, and now, 'Modi ji did what he promised'."
His family was initially unaware of the government's action, discovering it only through media reports, which brought them great relief.
Sunil mentioned, "Himanshi kept inquiring when the government would retaliate against the militants responsible for this brutal attack. Now, I’ve informed her that justice has been delivered, and their hideouts in Pakistan have been thoroughly destroyed," he expressed.
Sunil Swami conveyed his unwavering confidence in the government's response and expressed contentment with Operation Sindoor.
"The militants had urged the victims to inform PM Modi -- 'Modi ko bata deta' -- and now, 'Modi ji ne bata diya' after delivering a fitting response," he added.
"I have always reassured both Himanshi and others that Modi ji would provide a strong response to the attackers. Today, that response has been given. I applaud the airstrikes against Pakistan by the government," he stated.
He emphasized that while the lives lost in the Pahalgam terror attack, including his son-in-law, cannot be replaced, the actions taken by the Indian forces convey a strong and clear message to terrorists that such acts will not go unpunished.
"Those who have left us due to the terror attack will never return, but this airstrike will serve as a warning to those engaged in terror activities that they will now think twice before attempting further attacks. We always stand united with the Indian forces," he concluded.
