Gandhinagar, May 17 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to commence a two-day tour of Gujarat this Saturday, where he will unveil numerous development projects in the districts of Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, and Mehsana. This visit will underscore the state’s advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, and the cooperative sector.
On the first day, HM Shah will inaugurate a newly-established Primary Health Centre in Vavol at 4:30 p.m.
He will follow this by inaugurating an underbridge that links Sector-21 and Sector-22 in Gandhinagar, which will alleviate traffic and enhance connectivity in the region. Subsequently, he will open another Primary Health Centre located at Pethapur.
Continuing his agenda, HM Shah will also unveil the refurbished and enhanced Kolwada Pond, a project executed by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.
Later, he will lay the foundation stones for multiple development initiatives launched by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and the Postal Department.
On Sunday, the Union Home Minister will oversee an event hosted by the Gujarat State Cooperative Union titled ‘The Role of Cooperation in Developed India’ at Science City in Ahmedabad.
This event is aimed at showcasing the vital role of cooperative institutions in India’s advancement.
HM Shah’s itinerary also includes a visit to Gozariya in Mehsana, where he will inaugurate a newly-built nursing college.
In addition, he is set to inaugurate a ready-to-cook frozen potato processing unit at Sadra in the same district, promoting agro-industrial development in the area.
In Ahmedabad, HM Shah will open the Pallav flyover at Pallav Char Rasta in Naranpura on Sunday afternoon.
This overbridge, constructed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) at a cost exceeding Rs 116 crore, is anticipated to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
Later that day, he will lay the foundation stones for several more projects initiated by the AMC.
As per AMC officials, HM Shah is scheduled to inaugurate 32 development projects valued at Rs 385.24 crore in Ahmedabad on May 18.
AMC Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani mentioned that the Home Minister will also lay the groundwork for 60 additional projects worth Rs 1,199.32 crore.
