Hyderabad, Dec 14 (NationPress) The Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K.T. Rama Rao, expressed serious concerns on Sunday regarding the Congress party's continuous attacks on BRS members. He emphasized that if such aggressions against BRS workers persist, the party will have no choice but to take action.
KTR visited Lingampally village in the Tungaturthi constituency of the Suryapet district to pay respects to BRS worker Uppala Mallaiah, who tragically lost his life in a suspected attack by Congress supporters.
During his visit, KTR honored Mallaiah's portrait with floral tributes and provided his condolences to the grieving family, along with an immediate financial aid of Rs. 5 lakh. He assured the family of unwavering support from the party.
Speaking to the attendees, KTR highlighted that while BRS has governed the state for a decade, it has never resorted to such violent tactics. He cautioned Congress leaders that their current situation is not permanent and urged them to cease their reckless politics, focusing instead on the welfare of the public.
He warned that continued assaults on BRS members could disrupt law and order in the state. KTR affirmed that Telangana has never embraced political violence, and such actions must cease immediately.
KTR ridiculed the Congress government, pointing out its apparent fear of even local elections, such as those for Sarpanch and Panchayat positions.
He questioned Congress's claims of delivering 'wonders' over the past two years, including loan waivers, housing, and ration cards, while expressing their fear of elections. If the 420 promises made by Congress had been fulfilled, KTR suggested, the people would have celebrated the government's achievements.
Instead, he argued, the fear of failure has driven Congress leaders to engage in attacks and intimidation. Despite these challenges, BRS managed to secure nearly 50 percent of the Sarpanch and Ward Member seats in the recent Panchayat elections.
KTR asserted that the people of Telangana are eagerly anticipating the return of K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) as chief minister.
He explained that he delayed visiting Mallaiah's family to prevent escalating tensions after the incident. He promised that BRS would honor its commitments and expressed confidence in the party's return to power, pledging a government job for a member of Mallaiah's family upon their victory.
