New Delhi, Jan 25 (NationPress) India is set to take the lead globally with its transformative technologies, according to Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology.

During the “Technology Dialogue 2025” event at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, Singh introduced the “Vision India Techade” initiative, which aims to position India as a leader in innovation and technology on a global scale.

“Science and technology are fundamental to India’s goal of becoming a global center for innovation, economic growth, and addressing urgent global challenges like climate change and public health,” the Minister emphasized, while detailing initiatives such as the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), the National Quantum Mission, and the India AI mission.

He reiterated India’s dedication to transforming the 2020s into a “Techade for India”.

“Building strategic international partnerships is crucial for India to establish itself as a leader in global technology,” Singh pointed out.

He highlighted the importance of collaborating with like-minded nations to advance essential technologies such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and green hydrogen.

“Our objective is to cultivate fair partnerships that tackle global challenges while enhancing India’s role in the global value chain,” Singh stated.

The Minister emphasized the importance of integrating cross-sectoral synergies, such as merging AI with biotechnology or combining quantum computing with secure communication systems, to maximize societal and economic benefits. He stressed that ethical technology governance, responsible innovation, and strong intellectual property rights are crucial to ensure that technological advancements benefit everyone.

The event showcased India’s thriving startup ecosystem, boasting over 100 unicorns and a favorable policy framework, which attracts foreign direct investment in cutting-edge technologies.

Singh highlighted the necessity of robust intellectual property rights to entice global investors while promoting equitable technology sharing. He also discussed the significant role of the Indian diaspora in fortifying international partnerships.

Singh pointed out that initiatives like the VAIBHAV Summit and OCI Scientist Scheme link Indian innovators abroad with local stakeholders to foster co-innovation and capacity enhancement.

“India’s technological evolution aims to contribute positively to global advancement while ensuring sustainable and inclusive development. With its talent pool, dynamic startups, and international collaborations, India is ready to guide the world toward a future driven by transformative technologies,” Singh concluded.
