The discussions also covered India's long-term strategy for potash security, emphasizing potential avenues for technical partnerships in mining and exploration.
While welcoming the Canadian delegation, Nadda emphasized that augmenting potash availability in India is crucial for rejuvenating soil fertility and promoting a balanced nutrient application strategy under India's Integrated Nutrient Management framework.
During the conversations, Hodgson reiterated Canada's commitment to bolstering India’s agricultural efficiency, highlighting the critical role of potash in agriculture. He detailed Canada’s enhanced investment landscape and ensured that any investments from Indian counterparts in the natural resources domain would see reciprocal support from the Canadian government.
