New Delhi, May 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday that the efficiency of ‘Made in India’ defence equipment was clearly demonstrated during Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, where terrorist strongholds were eliminated through precision strikes, causing significant destruction to airbases deep within enemy territory.
“The world is now recognizing the emergence of ‘Made in India’ defence systems as a formidable force in 21st-century warfare,” PM Modi remarked in his address to the public.
He pointed out that India’s accurate and forceful strikes had left Pakistan feeling frustrated and desperate.
In its agitation, Pakistan resorted to reckless behavior instead of cooperating in the global fight against terrorism, launching attacks on Indian schools, colleges, gurudwaras, temples, and civilian homes, as well as military installations, he noted.
This aggression has unveiled Pakistan’s weaknesses, as its drones and missiles fell victim to India’s advanced air defence systems, which neutralized them effectively.
He emphasized that while Pakistan aimed to assault India’s borders, India delivered a decisive blow to Pakistan’s core. Indian drones and missiles executed precise strikes, inflicting severe damage on Pakistani airbases that had long been claimed. In the initial three days of India’s response, Pakistan experienced destruction far beyond its expectations.
In the wake of India’s aggressive counteractions, Pakistan began searching for ways to de-escalate, appealing to the international community for assistance amidst rising tensions, the Prime Minister added.
PM Modi asserted that India has consistently triumphed over Pakistan on the battlefield, and Operation Sindoor has introduced a new dimension to the nation’s military capabilities. He highlighted India’s exceptional ability in both desert and mountainous warfare while establishing dominance in 'New Age Warfare'.
The Prime Minister referred to the India-made BrahMos missiles that were utilized to demolish airbases and air defence systems in the heart of Pakistan. In a significant achievement for India’s defence sector, Kamikaze drones co-developed by Adani Group’s Alpha Design Technologies and Israel’s Elbit Systems were also effectively deployed in Operation Sindoor.
Manufactured in Bengaluru under the 'Make in India' initiative, the SkyStriker drones provide precision strikes with up to two hours of loitering capacity. This represents a significant advancement in India’s self-sufficiency in advanced defence technology.
