New Delhi, May 21 (NationPress) As part of India's intensified global outreach against terrorism, an all-party delegation headed by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha is set to depart for Japan on Wednesday, commencing a five-nation tour aimed at revealing Pakistan's ongoing support for terror groups.
This delegation is a key component of a larger diplomatic campaign focused on highlighting Pakistan's role as a prominent sponsor of terrorism on the international stage.
In a statement to IANS, Jha remarked, 'There are two key points. First, our nation has been combating terrorism for decades, and this threat has consistently originated from Pakistan. This is not a secret.'
'Historically, whether during the 2008 Mumbai attacks or the Pulwama incident, we have always shared information and invited collaboration on investigations. But can we expect justice from a thief when we share data with them? The Pakistan government itself finances these terrorists, trains them through the military, and orchestrates their operations. It's essentially a proxy war against India,' he elaborated.
BJP MP Brij Lal, who is part of the Jha-led delegation, issued a firm statement prior to their departure. 'This delegation is poised to make a significant impact. Pakistan is already recognized as a terrorism hub, or as we call it, Aatankistan, and we will ensure this is substantiated. Our team is visiting five nations, and for the past 35 years, Pakistan has persistently sponsored terrorist activities in India,' he asserted.
Joining him, BJP MP Hemang Joshi highlighted the unity of purpose. 'Today, our all-party delegation stands as one united Team India, traveling to various countries around the globe. We are determined to present India's viewpoint and expose Pakistan's ongoing support for terrorism internationally,' Joshi stated.
CPI(M) MP John Brittas, also a participant in the Jha-led team, reinforced the mission's goal. 'We are now en route to Japan, and subsequently, we will travel to South Korea, followed by Indonesia and Malaysia. This is a public outreach initiative aimed at articulating India's concerns and garnering global opinion against terrorism. We are confident in our ability to effectively communicate the nation’s stance on this issue,' Brittas noted.
Simultaneously, another delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde will visit the UAE, Congo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. A third group, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi, is scheduled to depart on Thursday for Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain.
These multi-party delegations are being backed by senior Indian diplomats and are tasked with presenting concrete proof of Pakistan's involvement in terrorism. This initiative follows the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which spurred 'Operation Sindoor' and a ceasefire announcement by Indian forces.
India is dispatching seven delegations to 25 countries, including members of the UN Security Council, in a coordinated effort to cultivate international consensus and reaffirm its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
