Mumbai, Oct 8 (NationPress) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal expressed immense pride in India's technological advancements, particularly in financial technology, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025, he noted that fintech is now accessible to nearly every individual, with India surpassing 1 billion internet users.
Goyal highlighted that even everyday individuals, such as street vendors, are utilizing UPI, and donations in temples are being made via QR codes. He believes that India's technology-driven development is on a certain path towards becoming a global power.
The minister emphasized the connection between the power of 1.4 billion Indians and PM Modi, who has devoted his life to national and public welfare.
“I commend his efforts. Initially, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he transformed the state, and now as Prime Minister, he is uplifting India's spirit,” Goyal stated.
According to him, under PM Modi's guidance, India has ascended to the position of the world's fourth-largest economy and is poised to become the third-largest soon.
It is inspiring to witness 1.4 billion people, motivated by PM Modi, advancing together towards a developed India by 2047.
“I hope his leadership endures, enabling us to elevate our nation to new heights,” he added.
During his speech at GFF 2025, Goyal remarked: “The world is looking towards India with confidence and trust, assured that collaborating with us yields high-quality talent, skills, goods, services, and timely delivery.”
He stated that India is a reliable partner globally, a fact we take pride in.
“We have transitioned from merely being a technology partner in global trade to becoming a leading architect of the fintech realm. Today, India pioneers global initiatives with our offerings, including digital public infrastructure, our indigenous 4G stack, and rapid 5G rollout,” he concluded.
