“Domestic supply chains are becoming more robust, with Indian manufacturing facilities now catering to international markets. This has led to an ecosystem characterized by resilience, ambition, and dependable execution,” as stated by the MyGovIndia X handle.
India has emerged as the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer, with over 99% of devices sold in the country now being Made in India.
“The establishment of India’s first tempered-glass facility in Noida and the global deployment of WhAP 8×8 armoured vehicles signify the increasing sophistication of Indian manufacturing. With 10 semiconductor initiatives greenlit across six states and an investment of Rs 1.60 lakh crore, India is poised for future technological leadership,” the X post remarked.
From batteries to solar panels, India is localizing its clean energy infrastructure. With the establishment of domestic electrode production, rapidly growing solar capabilities, and the inauguration of the nation’s first ingot-wafer facility, the groundwork for a resilient energy supply chain is being laid.
India is gearing up for global demand. “The debut of India’s first electric SUV, the e-VITARA, has commenced production in Hansalpur for export to over 100 countries. The main fuselage for the Airbus H125 is now produced in Bengaluru, while the HAL-Safran partnership will manufacture turbine components for LEAP engines,” it added.
India is steadily asserting itself as a trusted global technology center. Foxconn has initiated production of the iPhone 17 in Bengaluru, Google has unveiled a $15 billion AI and data center hub in Visakhapatnam, and local production is ramping up for the Pixel 10 series.
India is also fortifying its export framework. The Export Promotion Mission, underpinned by a Rs 25,060 crore fund, is developing a cohesive digital platform for exporters. Defence exports reached an unprecedented Rs 23,622 crore in FY 2024–25, while electronics exports have surged eightfold over the past decade, according to MyGovIndia.
