He also highlighted the significance of ongoing capacity building amidst rapid technological and scientific evolution, encouraging officers to utilize platforms like iGOT Karmayogi for continuous learning.
On the topic of values in public service, he remarked that while knowledge is important, character holds greater significance.
He reminded the officers that among India’s 1.4 billion citizens, they possess a rare opportunity to effect positive change in society and should embrace this responsibility with humility and dedication.
In response to a trainee's inquiry regarding civil servant expectations in the pursuit of Viksit Bharat, Radhakrishnan encouraged them to be innovative, adaptable to modern technologies, enthusiastic, empathetic, and ethical in their administration.
He underscored the importance of the Indian Defence Accounts Service, asserting that it plays a crucial role in managing the financial resources of the Indian Armed Forces and associated organizations.
He noted that the Defence Accounts Department has a rich heritage spanning over 275 years, making it one of the oldest departments within the Government of India.
