Investigation Deepens into the Untimely Demise of Kannada Actress in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (NationPress) The remains of Kannada actress Shobitha Shivanna, who was discovered lifeless at her home here, were returned to her relatives on Monday after an autopsy, while Cyberabad police have escalated their investigation into the matter.

A significant number of her relatives from Bengaluru hurried to Hyderabad upon hearing the news of her passing.

The police turned over the body of the 29-year-old actress to her family after the autopsy was conducted at the government-run Osmania General Hospital.

Shobitha’s remains were subsequently transported to Bengaluru, where her family resides. The final rites are anticipated to take place on Tuesday.

The actress was found dead at her residence located in Kondapur of Gachibowli on Sunday.

She was discovered hanging by her husband Sudheer Reddy, who forced open the bedroom door after receiving no response despite numerous knocks.

Originating from Sakleshpur in Karnataka’s Hassan district, she had been living in Hyderabad with her husband, a software engineer, for the last two years.

The motives behind Shobitha’s purported suicide remain unclear. Reports indicate that police discovered a suicide note stating: "Everything perfect - if you want to commit suicide, you can do it".

The police in Gachibowli have initiated a formal case and are examining the circumstances surrounding her death.

Law enforcement has intensified their investigation and is exploring all possibilities. Investigators are working to determine if she faced any mental health challenges and are gathering statements from family, friends, and neighbors.

Shobitha’s father-in-law, Bucchi Reddy, asserted that Shobitha and Sudheer Reddy enjoyed a joyful marital relationship, claiming that the couple experienced no issues. He also mentioned that the family regarded Shobitha as their own daughter.

Shobitha was featured in various Kannada serials, including "Brahmagantu", "Ninidale", and "Mangala Gowri". She also participated in several Kannada films, including "ATM: Attempt to Murder".

Following her marriage, she ceased acting. Police discovered that Sudheer Reddy had proposed marriage after discovering her profile on a matrimonial platform.
