"The distress of the Indian populace resonates with us, and likewise, we feel the pain of Iran's citizens. This mutual understanding motivates the Indian government to assist us, and we, in turn, should offer our support to India, as our beliefs and interests align," he remarked.
As Iran's representative in India, Fathali asserted his commitment to fostering deeper mutual understanding and collaboration between the two countries.
He also pointed out the ongoing diplomatic dialogues, mentioning recent discussions between senior officials from both nations aimed at addressing shared concerns.
"Our relationship with the Indian government remains strong, and our high-ranking officials engaged in productive talks yesterday," he stated.
Expressing hope for enhanced cooperation, the Ambassador noted that both sides are actively seeking solutions to their challenges while aiming to strengthen bilateral relations.
"We should pray to Allah for the removal of obstacles in various domains. We are committed to resolving these issues as best as we can," he affirmed.
Regarding discussions among the leaders of both countries, Fathali mentioned their dedication to fortifying ties and their concerted efforts in that direction.
"There have been fruitful conversations, reflecting a shared commitment to work hard for better relations," he added, referring to dialogues involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
While addressing the International Quds Day Conference 2026, the Iranian envoy called on individuals to uphold justice and truth.
"Strive to stand on the right side of history. I firmly believe that his eminence is on the right side of history," he stated, emphasizing that Iran's stance is shaped by its principles and dedication to what it views as just.
