ISKCON Warns of Imminent Genocide in Bangladesh, Urges Immediate Action

Kolkata, Dec 8 (NationPress) A high-ranking representative of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) expressed concerns on Sunday that Bangladesh is on the brink of a serious genocide unless urgent measures are taken to stabilize the situation.
Radharaman Das, the Vice President and spokesperson for ISKCON-Kolkata, reported that numerous videos are emerging from Bangladesh showing fundamentalists inciting ordinary citizens, claiming it is time to “slaughter” ISKCON members.
“They are asserting that ISKCON is akin to a cancer that must be removed surgically. These fundamentalists, who boast significant social media followings, are disseminating such dangerous messages to their audience. The reach of these videos is extensive,” Das noted.
He further revealed that one particular fundamentalist leader is traveling across various regions of Bangladesh in a private jet.
“He is visiting different areas and urging his followers that it is time to apprehend and slaughter ISKCON devotees,” Das stated.
He also emphasized that if these fundamentalists continue to propagate hate speech unchecked, the situation in Bangladesh could deteriorate drastically.
“They are essentially inciting the populace toward a potential genocide. Should the people of Bangladesh respond to their calls for action, even the Bangladesh Army and Police would struggle to manage the chaos. This could indeed lead to a genocide,” Das warned.
Additionally, he reported that another temple in the Dhaka district was set ablaze early Saturday morning.
“Individuals arrived and completely destroyed the temple using petrol, causing extensive damage to the idols of the deities. Such incidents are a direct result of these fundamentalist leaders making inflammatory statements against ISKCON. Therefore, the immediate priority must be to detain these fundamentalists. Without addressing this issue, Bangladesh is likely heading towards a significant genocide,” Das concluded.
