Gandhinagar, Oct 30 (NationPress) The Italian Ambassador to India, Antonio Bartoli, paid a courtesy visit to Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Thursday.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in critical areas including manufacturing, sports industries, food processing, waste-to-energy, space, science and technology, connectivity, and smart mobility.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel welcomed Ambassador Bartoli during his first visit to Gujarat, emphasizing the state’s pivotal role as a policy-oriented manufacturing center in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ (Developed India @2047).
He noted that Gujarat has developed its roadmap for ‘Viksit Gujarat @2047’ guided by the philosophy of ‘Living Well – Earning Well’, aiming for new milestones in social, economic, and industrial growth.
Ambassador Bartoli remarked that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India–Italy relations have significantly advanced.
He recalled the recent visit of the Prime Minister to Italy, where both countries agreed to enhance collaboration in defence, science and technology, space, clean energy, innovation, and sustainable mobility.
He further mentioned that India and Italy have established a 10-point Joint Strategic Action Plan to fortify cooperation in key priority sectors.
During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for Italy–Gujarat partnerships in aligned areas such as manufacturing, clean technology, innovation, mobility, education, and cultural exchange.
Ambassador Bartoli also extended an invitation for a high-level delegation from Gujarat to visit Italy, aiming to enhance bilateral engagement and discover opportunities for joint initiatives.
