Gandhinagar, March 31 (NationPress) Members of the Jain community, along with admirers of Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj, expressed their joy on Tuesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum in celebration of Mahavir Jayanti.

Siddharth, a resident of Kolkata, West Bengal, described the event 'Bharat Viraasat Mahotsav' as a "world-class initiative."

He remarked, "I caught just a glimpse of the museum, and it was truly remarkable. We hope more such world-class institutions emerge in other regions as well. It would be wonderful to have something similar built at the birthplace of Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj," he shared with IANS.

Shashikant, another attendee from Kolkata, noted, "What PM Modi has accomplished aligns with Lord Mahavir's principle of 'live and let live.' We are fortunate to have a Prime Minister who embraces Jain traditions. This will inspire many."

Sandeep Navlakha, also present, told IANS, "We take immense pride in how PM Modi and Acharya Shri Padmasagar Surishwarji Maharaj have uplifted our Jain culture and heritage. We are part of the Murshidabad heritage development society."

He added, "Maharaj's birthplace is in Murshidabad, and we hope a small museum can be established there to preserve his heritage collection and educate people about Jain history."
