Prayagraj, Feb 10 (NationPress) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale remarked on Monday that our Vanvasi society has greatly contributed to the preservation of the Sanatan Hindu tradition, expressing optimism that tribal saints will intensify efforts to foster the knowledge-culture tradition.
This statement was made during his address at the closing ceremony of the Janjati Samagam, where he served as the chief guest. The event, organized by Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in Mahakumbh Nagar, concluded with a Sant Samagam.
The gathering was attended by Kalyan Ashram's President Satyendra Singh, Gangadhar Maharaj, and Dadu Dayal.
Dattatreya Hosabale pointed out that Hindutva, along with Indian and Sanatan traditions, is confronted with challenges such as the influence of foreign ideologies and conversion efforts.
"In facing these challenges, tribal saints have tirelessly worked in remote forest areas. Thanks to their dedication, the Hindu religion remains vibrant today. Moving forward, further initiatives are essential to uphold the unity and existence of our society by raising awareness within tribal communities through environmental initiatives, research, education, culture, religious enlightenment, and service," he added.
The RSS Sarkaryavah also expressed his hope that all tribal saints would collaborate to reinforce the Sanatan culture by supporting Kalyan Ashram.
About 77 saints and mahants from various states of the country were present at this event. Several of these saints shared their personal experiences regarding the challenges faced while working in tribal areas.
The introduction to the Sant Samagam was presented by Satyendra Singh, National President of Kalyan Ashram.
“There are ongoing efforts to disrupt our tribal society in various regions of the country. To counter these initiatives, all saints must unite and strive towards a common goal,” stated Satyendra Singh.
The Kumbh Mela Committee of the Uttar Pradesh government honored all saints present with gifts.
