Jammu, April 9 (NationPress) J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized on Wednesday that a person is nearest to God when their heart is filled with goodwill. The Lieutenant Governor participated in the ‘Navkar Mahamantra Divas’ observance at Raj Bhavan in Jammu.

He conveyed his best wishes to individuals from diverse backgrounds, members of the Jain International Trade Organisation, along with numerous other organizations and senior officials who united for the communal recitation of the sacred Navkar Mahamantra.

“For millennia, various significant 'Mantras' have illuminated the journey of seekers and devotees. Among these, the Navkar Mahamantra holds a distinct aura and divine essence,” the Lieutenant Governor stated.

Lt Governor Sinha remarked that the Navkar Mahamantra — the most revered and universal chant — promotes inner transformation and nurtures spiritual awakening.

“Where there is love and harmony, there is God. This is the true power. A person is closest to God when their heart radiates goodwill.

I firmly believe that the most valuable treasures of society are love, harmony, peace, and compassion. An individual embodying these traits can uplift humanity,” he expressed.

“The authentic essence of life lies in self-discovery. When we truly understand ourselves, it becomes evident that God has not bestowed this life for trivial reasons, but rather for a significant purpose, which is selfless service to society and the welfare of all living beings,” the Lieutenant Governor added.

In a global initiative, participants from over 108 countries took part in the ‘Navkar Mahamantra Divas’ celebration, championing peace and universal harmony.

This event also encourages all individuals to contemplate the values of self-purification, tolerance, and collective well-being.

Notable attendees included members of the community such as Anand Jain, ADGP (Jammu), Rajeev Jain, North India advisor of the Jain International Trade Organisation, along with a significant number of other community members.
