Jammu, April 17 (NationPress) In a remarkable achievement, Jammu and Kashmir has attained the third position nationally in the 'Mission Karmayogi' initiative during the SADHANA Saptah, underscoring a significant step towards embedding continuous learning and competency-based governance among civil servants, as reported by officials on Friday.

This accolade highlights the Union Territory's systematic execution of reforms under the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB).

By concentrating on role-specific capacity building, competency assessment, and the effective utilization of the iGOT Karmayogi digital platform, Jammu and Kashmir has demonstrated notable advancements in enhancing its administrative capabilities.

Official statistics reveal that a total of 201,962 officials from the Union Territory have registered on the platform, collectively completing 413,722 courses.

Among these, 274,511 completions pertained to courses centered on artificial intelligence.

Furthermore, 54,003 employees have engaged in over one hour of learning, while 37,309 officials have exceeded four hours, reflecting significant involvement with the initiative.

The award was conferred during the SADHANA Saptah Facilitation Ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Jitendra Singh, led the event, honoring the top-performing states, Union Territories, and institutions.

M. Raju, the Commissioner/Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir General Administration Department, accepted the award on behalf of the Union Territory's government.

In an impressive feat, the Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (JKIMPARD) received a Special Award for being the first institution in India to successfully execute Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) across all departments.

This achievement establishes a national standard for operationalizing the objectives of Mission Karmayogi at the State/Union Territory level.

During SADHANA Saptah, the Union Territory's administration facilitated active participation through a well-structured and closely monitored strategy.

Nodal officers were appointed to supervise engagement and ensure the fulfillment of designated learning hours on the iGOT platform, strictly adhering to NPCSCB guidelines.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo of Jammu and Kashmir effectively oversaw progress through regular evaluations to guarantee the successful implementation of this ambitious program.

Minister Jitendra Singh has consistently advocated for enhancing capacity building and fostering good governance practices.

This dedication was reaffirmed at a recent Regional Conference in Jammu, focusing on the comprehensive development of districts, which emphasized integrated planning, augmented capacity, and improved governance results at the local level.

This recognition accentuates the Jammu and Kashmir government's commitment to developing a capable, accountable, and citizen-oriented civil service, aligned with the vision of Mission Karmayogi Bharat.
