Ranchi, Sep 25 (NationPress) On Thursday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren of Jharkhand presented appointment letters to 160 newly appointed assistant professors, dentists, and medical officers for the state's medical colleges and healthcare facilities.
During a ceremony held at the Jharkhand Secretariat, the Chief Minister emphasized that this recruitment initiative marks a crucial advancement in fortifying the state's healthcare framework.
He remarked that practicing medicine transcends being a mere profession; it embodies a commitment to serving society.
In his address to the new recruits, CM Soren stated: "The disadvantaged, vulnerable, and needy communities hold substantial hopes for your work. Your empathy must be evident in your actions to ensure that your services effectively reach those in need."
He further noted that while financial resources may be scarce, compassion and humane treatment play a pivotal role in enhancing patient care.
Addressing the evolving challenges within the healthcare sector, Soren highlighted the essential function that doctors serve in confronting these issues.
“Our administration has implemented a framework to enhance health services through collaboration with medical professionals,” he added.
Reflecting on the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chief Minister acknowledged that Jharkhand navigated the crisis successfully due to the diligent efforts of healthcare workers.
CM Soren pointed out that numerous contemporary health obstacles arise from lifestyle choices, encouraging society to unite in seeking solutions.
To elevate morale and accountability, Soren instructed the Health Department to formalize the evaluation of doctors' performance and establish a system to recognize and reward exceptional service.
