Koderma (Jharkhand), June 9 (NationPress) The body of a 26-year-old divorced woman, Ayushi Chawla, was discovered hanging under mysterious circumstances at her live-in partner's residence in Jhumri Telaiya town of Jharkhand on Monday, authorities stated.
Ayushi, a resident of Parsabad within the Jainagar police station jurisdiction in Koderma district, had been cohabiting with her partner Harsh Sonkar, a fruit shop owner in Chitragupta Nagar, for the last two years.
As per police reports, Harsh informed investigators that he departed for his shop around 6 a.m., shortly after which he received a call from Ayushi indicating her intent to end her life.
He claimed to have rushed back home only to find her hanging from the ceiling fan, stating that she appeared to be lifeless by the time he brought her down.
Harsh subsequently notified both the police and Ayushi's family about the situation.
A police team quickly arrived at the scene and dispatched the body for a post-mortem examination.
