Karnataka: Deputy SP Filmed in Inappropriate Situation with Woman in Office Restroom

Tumakuru, Jan 3 (NationPress) A Deputy SP of the Karnataka Police, affiliated with the Madgiri subdivision, has reportedly been filmed in an inappropriate situation with a woman in the restroom of his office.
A video that captures the officer in uniform engaging in romantic behavior with the woman has gone viral on social media across the state, raising significant alarm.
Sources indicate that the woman, who was involved in a land dispute case, had come into contact with the Deputy SP from Madhugiri. She is a resident of Pavagada and had approached the police for assistance when the Deputy SP allegedly took advantage of his authority to pressure her into a personal encounter. He is said to have led the woman, who initially came to file a complaint, to his office restroom for this purpose.
It is believed that a relative who accompanied the woman discreetly recorded the incident and shared the video online.
The 35-second clip depicted the officer in uniform with the woman, both of whom seemed to notice a mobile phone recording from a nearby window. It displayed a compromising act involving the senior police officer. The video also captured the woman recognizing the mobile device at the window.
The incident has heightened concerns, especially since Madhugiri town falls within the Tumakuru district, which is the home base of the state's Home Minister, G. Parameshwara. Following the video's emergence, the Deputy SP has reportedly gone missing.
As of now, the Police Department has not issued an official statement regarding this incident. It remains unclear whether the woman has lodged a formal complaint against the Deputy SP.
The police are currently awaiting directives from higher authorities for further action regarding this situation.
Sources have also suggested that the Deputy SP had been involved in inappropriate conduct with the woman during her past visits to his office concerning the case.
"Unable to tolerate the exploitation any longer, the woman's relative decided to record a video this time," the sources added.
