Bengaluru, April 7 (NationPress) - On Tuesday morning, Lokayukta officials executed synchronized raids across four districts in Karnataka, targeting government employees suspected of accumulating assets disproportionate to their declared income sources.

The coordinated operations took place in Ballari, Chitradurga, Mysuru, and Shivamogga, with specialized teams deployed to scrutinize documents and properties associated with the implicated officials.

In Chitradurga, officials targeted the home of a former Nirmithi Kendra accountant, who retired voluntarily last year. She faces allegations of having amassed wealth exceeding her known income during her service.

Raids occurred at her residence in Medehalli layout and a farmhouse in Yadalaghatta village, overseen by Lokayukta SP Vasudevaram and Deputy Superintendent Mrutyunjaya.

Moving to Ballari, searches were conducted at the residence and office of an Assistant Director from the Fisheries Department, with operations taking place at four locations including his residence in Siddharth Nagar.

Officials also examined the government Bolero vehicle associated with him and confiscated documents for further investigation. He is under suspicion of holding Disproportionate Assets, with operations managed by two teams of Lokayukta officials.

In Mysuru, raids targeted the home and office of an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Public Works Department under similar allegations, with searches extending to two residential properties in Mandya district.

Meanwhile, in Shivamogga, extensive searches were conducted at properties linked to a woman district officer from the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Raids spanned Shivamogga, Shikaripura, and Sagar, including her home in Chennakeshava Nagar, a farmhouse near Taralaghatta, and a school she owns near Achapura. Other properties searched included her house near Navile in Shivamogga city and the BCM district office close to KEB Circle.

Additionally, Lokayukta officials raided another BCM department member's residence in the Chalukyanagar area of Shivamogga city, where documents are currently under review.

A total of five teams are actively participating in this operation, orchestrated by the Lokayukta SP from Davanagere, with personnel from Shivamogga, Haveri, and Davanagere districts contributing to the synchronized raids. Further investigations are ongoing.
