Jaipur, March 6 (NationPress) The baraat procession of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s eldest son, Kartikeya Chouhan, at Umaid Bhavan Palace in Rajasthan, was attended by numerous VIPs.
In a brief period, he will tie the knot with Amanat Bansal, daughter of Anupam Bansal, managing director of Liberty Shoes, at the renowned Umaid Bhawan Palace. This extravagant three-day wedding affair has seen the attendance of several VVIP guests, including notable BJP leaders from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
On Thursday evening, Kartikeya’s wedding procession (Baraat) was a vibrant celebration. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, alongside his younger son Kunal, joyously danced. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also participated, elevating the festive atmosphere.
During the sangeet ceremony, Shivraj was observed dancing with his wife, Sadhana Singh, to the tune of "Chand Sa Roshan Chehra," while she later performed with her two daughters-in-law to "Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari." The bride and groom also showcased a couple dance, captivating the audience.
Commenting on her dance act, Sadhana Singh shared: "I rehearsed this dance in merely one hour. We seldom have time, but today is my husband’s birthday, and it’s also our son’s sangeet. Hence, we decided to perform!" As they began dancing, Shivraj jokingly queried what he was meant to do, causing laughter amongst the guests.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat arrived at Umaid Bhawan Palace for the wedding, accompanied by MP Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar.
Other dignitaries, including Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang, also took part in the grand procession.
Before departing from Jodhpur, Scindia discussed the expansion of Jodhpur Airport, mentioning: "During my time as Aviation Minister, the design for this airport was finalized. Soon, the construction will be completed, and it will be executed in a magnificent manner."
He emphasized Jodhpur’s rich historical and cultural importance, expressing confidence that the new airport design will pay homage to India’s heritage.
Scindia arrived in Jodhpur earlier in the afternoon with his wife and attended the wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace before returning home.
