Kejriwal Alleges Rivals Engaging in Vote Purchasing for Rs 1,000 in His Constituency

New Delhi, Dec 24 (NationPress) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday made a startling allegation ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, asserting that his political opponents are engaging in a 'vote purchasing campaign' in his New Delhi constituency.

Kejriwal announced this shocking news via his social media account on X.

“These individuals have already begun buying votes in my Vidhan Sabha constituency. They are openly distributing Rs 1000 in cash for each vote,” he stated, directly accusing them of leveraging monetary influence to sway the upcoming elections.

This explosive claim from the former Chief Minister of Delhi arises amidst a political showdown between AAP and BJP regarding the alleged deletion of voters’ lists.

AAP contends that BJP has initiated a coordinated state-wide effort to remove voters from the electoral rolls, particularly in its stronghold, on dubious grounds while filing complaints with the Election Commission. In response, BJP claims that this is not a scheme, but rather a 'legitimate' initiative to alert the election authority about 'fraudulent voters'.

As AAP and BJP continue their verbal war over the voter list deletion dispute, Kejriwal’s new accusation is bound to escalate the political tensions.

Meanwhile, Congress has aggressively criticized the AAP government, accusing it of squandering numerous opportunities to leverage the city’s growth while instead causing it to stagnate with a series of scandals.

Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Maken announced that Congress will publish a white paper on Wednesday to unveil the missteps and malpractices of the Delhi government.

“It will be released tomorrow, 25th December at 11 a.m. in a press conference by the Delhi Congress president and myself. This event will take place at the party office,” he shared on X.

With Assembly elections approaching in Delhi early next year, the Kejriwal-led AAP is poised to face pressure from both BJP and Congress, although it remains steadfast, with the party leader at the helm.
