New Delhi, Dec 30 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his inaccurate assertion that teachers in Delhi are being assigned to count stray dogs.
The Delhi BJP President expressed disappointment that on Monday, Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bharadwaj and MLA Sanjeev Jha disseminated this misinformation through a post on X, stating that teachers would be tasked with counting dogs.
In response, Delhi’s Education Minister Ashish Sood and the Chairman of the Delhi Municipal Corporation’s Education Committee, Yogesh Verma, promptly clarified that no such directive has been issued and that there is no proposal under consideration by the government.
Sachdeva remarked that despite the clear statements from both the Delhi Government and the Municipal Corporation, it is profoundly disgraceful for the former Chief Minister to persist in his claims regarding teachers counting dogs, and he should issue an apology.
Furthermore, the Delhi BJP President indicated that the former Chief Minister’s assertion about sending teachers abroad for training was also entirely misleading.
Over the last decade under the AAP government, fewer than 100 teachers were sent to Finland for training, even though Finland’s educational framework does not correlate with India’s at all, he noted.
Consequently, that training yielded no advantages for Delhi’s educational system, he stated.
Sachdeva challenged Kejriwal to clarify to the residents of Delhi what substantial benefits were derived from the teachers he sent to Finland for training.
Previously, the Delhi BJP criticized the former AAP government led by Kejriwal for leaving behind a legacy of pollution issues for the Rekha Gupta administration and commended the Chief Minister’s achievements in the first ten months of her term.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor mentioned that aside from the lingering air pollution inherited from the Arvind Kejriwal government, the past ten months under the Rekha Gupta government have been filled with accomplishments.
“Even concerning air pollution, the pollution levels have remained lower than before, even during the winter months, although more work is still required,” he stated.
The Kejriwal administration had left Delhi in a state of stagnation, but the BJP-led government under Rekha Gupta has steered Delhi back on the development trajectory within just ten months, Kapoor asserted.
