Are AAP Leaders Misrepresenting Teachers' Involvement in Stray Dog Count?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Jan 2 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated on Friday that the misleading claims from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders about teachers being instructed to carry out a survey of stray dogs are indicative of their distress following the Assembly elections defeat.
Sachdeva's comments were made on a day when the Special Cell of Delhi Police confirmed that an FIR had been filed and an investigation initiated based on a complaint from the Delhi government's Education Department against alleged social media posts disseminating 'misinformation' regarding the involvement of teachers in counting stray dogs.
According to Sachdeva, a copy of the Delhi government’s circular clearly indicates that the AAP is attempting to mislead the public by interpreting the circular inaccurately, as it does not contain any directive regarding teachers being tasked with dog counting duties.
He emphasized that AAP leaders are struggling to accept the ongoing development initiatives led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Delhi, alongside the enhancements in the education sector, and their unfounded criticisms are testament to this.
While presenting a copy of the Delhi government circular, Sachdeva insisted that the AAP is trying to misguide Delhi's residents by distorting the circular's actual contents, which do not mention teacher assignments.
Sachdeva added that AAP leader and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has lost the faith of Delhi's populace, previously misled the public from the Sheeshmahal (the renovated official residence of the Delhi Chief Minister) and is now trying to deceive the citizens through his subordinate leaders while residing in the Sheeshmahal in Punjab.
The Delhi BJP President asserted that Kejriwal has never shown respect towards teachers, nor does he intend to now.
He pointed out that the Education Department’s circular explicitly instructs the college and school gatekeepers to ensure that stray dogs do not enter the educational premises.
Sachdeva concluded that the era of confusion in Delhi politics is over, and it will soon be eliminated from Punjab as well.
