Kejriwal's New Pujari Granthi Scheme: A Deception, Claims Delhi Congress

New Delhi, Dec 31 (NationPress) Highlighting the Pujari Granthi Samman Scheme, President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, Devender Yadav, stated on Tuesday that AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal continues to unveil new initiatives daily, despite his inability to keep earlier promises.
Yadav drew attention to a disclaimer issued by the Delhi government regarding Kejriwal's commitment to provide Rs 2,100 monthly aid for women and free healthcare for the elderly. He claimed that the recent announcement of Rs 18,000 per month for pujaris and granthis was merely a tactic to deceive them.
It was noted by the Delhi Congress chief that it is disgraceful that as Kejriwal presented the Pujari Granthi Samman Scheme at the AAP office, a protest was simultaneously initiated by the All India Imam Organisation at his residence.
Yadav pointed out that the AAP government has failed to disburse funds to the Delhi Waqf Board for the past 17 months, withholding salaries from imams and maulvis.
He asserted that Kejriwal has been making visits to temples to mislead pujaris with his latest assurances while conveniently ignoring the reality that old age pensions have been halted, new ration cards are no longer being issued to the underprivileged, there is a lack of free water, the polluted Yamuna has turned into a foul-smelling sewer, and DTC employees are protesting for their overdue wages.
Yadav remarked that the public has become more discerning and no longer trusts the claims of someone like Kejriwal, who he accused of spreading falsehoods in an effort to secure their votes.
He further stated that both the ruling AAP and the BJP are attempting to divide the populace along religious lines, whereas the Congress Party advocates for equal treatment of all religions.
Yadav cautioned that the perilous vote bank politics practiced by the AAP and the BJP poses a significant threat to the unity and integrity of the nation.
Earlier, Yadav welcomed several individuals into the Congress, including AAP’s joint secretary from Badli Assembly, Sarbjit Singh, 2020 Assembly election star campaigner Farid Shah, former AAP Councillor from Mustafabad Assembly Parveen, and Mohd Maroof, a 2020 BSP candidate for the MCD election, Rajni Suryavanshi, along with a large number of workers.
Yadav expressed confidence that with the backing and collaboration of all new members, Congress will strengthen its position and engage in constructive politics to reclaim power.
