Palakkad (Kerala), Jan 27 (NationPress) A man, currently out on bail for a previous murder conviction, committed another heinous act on Monday, resulting in the deaths of a woman and her son, both connected to a 2019 murder case.

The brutal incident occurred in Nenmara when 58-year-old Chenthamara, who had been released on bail for two months, fatally stabbed his neighbor, 54-year-old Sudhakaran, and his mother, 76-year-old Lekshmi.

Chenthamara had previously murdered Sudhakaran's wife, Sajitha, in 2019 and had been incarcerated until his recent bail release. This violent act took place just as the trial for Sajitha's murder was about to commence.

Local residents noted that Chenthamara blamed Sajitha for his separation from his own wife and daughter. Notably, Chenthamara and Sudhakaran are neighbors, and Chenthamara had been living alone. Following his release, Sudhakaran and his mother had filed a formal complaint with the police, expressing concerns that Chenthamara might pose a danger once more.

“He had promised to eliminate Sajitha and two others. He has now claimed two more lives. As a lorry driver, there are questions about his mental state, yet it's clear he harbors deep-seated rage,” shared a local resident.

The police are actively searching for Chenthamara, while residents are voicing their frustrations towards law enforcement for not acting on the prior complaint against him.

While authorities permitted Lekshmi's body to be transported to the hospital as she was still alive at the time, they have refused to allow Sudhakaran's body to be moved for a post-mortem examination until Chenthamara is captured.
