New Delhi, Oct 4 (NationPress) BJP leader Praveen Khandelwal lambasted senior Congress figure Ajay Rai on Saturday for his comments regarding 'Operation Sindoor', asserting that Congress is devoid of facts and simply attempting to maintain relevance.
Ajay Rai, who leads the Congress in Uttar Pradesh, expressed skepticism about the operation after Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh disclosed on Friday that Indian forces had successfully downed US and Chinese-manufactured aircraft during a four-day military operation in May.
In a statement to IANS, Khandelwal remarked, "The Congress is in a peculiar predicament. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is advancing towards development. India has become the fourth-largest economy globally. Our three Armed Forces delivered a robust response to Pakistan through 'Operation Sindoor'. Yet, Congress leaders show no concern for the nation’s safety, security, or sovereignty. Instead, they are sinking deeper into irrelevance, lacking factual foundation and merely seeking attention."
Khandelwal also addressed the recent harsh criticism directed at RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat by Shiv Sena (UBT), which accused him of echoing the BJP government’s narrative instead of holding the Centre accountable for what they termed the "erosion of the Constitution, Parliament, and judiciary, along with escalating public unrest across the nation."
In response to these allegations, Khandelwal stated, "The RSS has proudly completed 100 years, and I take pride in being a Swayamsevak of this organization. The RSS has made significant contributions to the nation and does not require anyone’s validation. No other organization globally is achieving what the RSS does for India."
Khandelwal further commented on remarks made by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti. She stated on Friday that the "youth were rising in protest due to the disillusionment with a system that has failed their aspirations."
He responded, "The 'Gen Z' she refers to is being unfairly criticized. Today's youth have made tremendous contributions to national development, innovating and even reaching space. Rahul Gandhi and Mehbooba Mufti fail to recognize this positive aspect of Gen Z and instead aim to incite unrest. However, under PM Modi’s leadership, there is no place for spreading discord."
