In a correspondence addressed to the Chief Minister, the Union Minister requested his intervention in the process of land acquisition and allocation by the state government for these proposed projects.

Kishan Reddy emphasized that CPSUs under the Ministry of Coal, particularly Coal India Limited (CIL) and NLC India Limited (NLCIL), have shown a robust commitment to collaborating with Telangana to implement significant renewable energy projects, which include solar and wind power plants, pumped storage projects (PSP), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

According to the Union Minister, these initiatives are set to draw investments of approximately Rs 10,000 crore over the next three years.

Key proposals encompass the establishment of solar power plants in areas with high solar insolation in Telangana, deployment of cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems to bolster grid stability and energy reliability, conducting pre-feasibility studies for Pumped Storage Projects to deliver essential balancing capacity, and forming joint venture models with State PSUs or operating independently by coal companies to expedite project execution and enhance local economic advantages.
