Synopsis
Key Takeaways
In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on April 6, Spiritual leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that India has at last attained strong and decisive leadership after a prolonged period of waiting. This leadership has significantly tackled numerous enduring issues that have plagued the nation since Independence.
In his remarks to IANS, he stated, "After a long wait, India has received robust leadership in the form of Narendra Modi. Since Independence, many of the nation’s persistent problems have been addressed. While some challenges still exist, efforts are in progress to confront them."
Focusing on government initiatives aimed at women, he credited PM Modi for enhancing respect, recognition, and security for women in India.
He asserted, "In terms of women, the respect and acknowledgment they have received—whether through the Women's Reservation Bill, security measures, or their overall dignity—are entirely attributable to Narendra Modi."
Commenting on the recent claims against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Krishnam noted that such accusations are commonplace during election cycles.
He remarked, "As long as Narendra Modi holds the office of Prime Minister, justice will prevail for all. While allegations can be easily made, anyone can be implicated. The serious claims regarding the Chief Minister of Assam have been addressed by him already. These allegations are typical of election periods, and with time, the truth will surface. I fully believe that Himanta Biswa Sarma will respond to all the allegations."
On the topic of communal harmony, Krishnam emphasized that no community should be collectively held accountable for the actions of a few individuals. He dismissed narratives that depict Muslims as anti-national, stating that it is unfair and erroneous to label an entire community. He stressed that no religion condones violence and denounced acts of killing in the name of faith as both legally and morally unacceptable. He also criticized extremist slogans, saying those who use them lack understanding of Allah and the teachings of the Prophet.
Regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Krishnam described such leaders as lacking direction, pointing to their inconsistent statements over time. He called for a complete reevaluation of the Indian National Congress, asserting that the party's challenges are structural and necessitate profound introspection from its senior leadership.
Concerning the Ram Temple, he remarked that members of India's armed forces, including police, army, and paramilitary personnel, are devotees of Lord Hanuman, and suggested they visit the temple to offer prayers to Lord Ram.
