Bengaluru, May 7 (NationPress) The Karnataka government has officially mandated that special prayers be held in temples throughout the state in honor of the success achieved through Operation Sindoor.

On Wednesday in Bengaluru, the Minister for Transport and Muzrai, Ramalinga Reddy, announced that he has instructed temples statewide to conduct these prayers as a tribute to the operation's success.

A circular was disseminated by the Commissioner of Hindu Religious Institutions and the Endowment Department, stating, “The Indian armed forces have successfully executed strikes on terrorist camps under the banner of Operation Sindoor, avenging the Pahalgam terror attack.”

Minister Ramalinga Reddy expressed his gratitude to the Indian armed forces. The circular emphasizes the importance of conducting special prayers for the strength and well-being of the Indian Army in all temples under the Muzrai Department across Karnataka.

The circular also insists that the Minister’s directives must be adhered to strictly.

In his remarks, Minister Reddy noted, “We have always taken pride in the Indian armed forces. Similar military actions occurred during the tenures of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. The Indian Army has also engaged in conflicts with China.”

He mentioned that such an operation should have been executed during the Pulwama attack in 2019, which resulted in the loss of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.

Special arrangements are being made for prayers dedicated to the well-being and strength of the Indian Army. These prayers will take place at the historic Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple in Bengaluru from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., and at the renowned Banashankari Temple in Bengaluru from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday.

In a related note, Sumathi, the mother of Manjunath Rao, a businessman from Shivamogga who perished in the Pahalgam terror attack, expressed her thoughts on the situation: “We want peace; innocent lives must not be lost, and families should not suffer. Those who incite unrest need to face consequences to ensure our country remains safe and thriving.”

She added, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a wise decision. Hasty actions often lead to failure. It is prudent to take time before striking Pakistan. The central government acted appropriately.”

“Attacks on Indians without justification must not continue. My son is gone forever. Let other parents’ children return safely from Kashmir. The Pahalgam incident should never repeat. No family should endure the suffering we have faced,” Sumathi concluded.
