KTR visits BRS leader in Sangareddy Jail, slams Congress for vindictive politics
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Monday, 4 May visited party leader Manne Krishank at Sangareddy Jail in Telangana, where Krishank is lodged in connection with an alleged assault on a Congress party worker. KTR termed the arrest illegal and accused the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government of pursuing vindictive politics to silence political opposition.
Background of the Arrest
Manne Krishank and seven associates were arrested on 24 April in Hyderabad for allegedly assaulting a Congress worker over a social media post. Krishank, described by KTR as a lawyer and PhD holder, previously served as the Chairman of the Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation and was a prominent student leader at Osmania University.
What KTR Said
Speaking to media persons after the jail visit, KTR alleged that over 35 cases have been filed against Krishank to harass him for questioning government corruption and maladministration.
