Patna, Feb 15 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, arrived in Buxar on Saturday as part of his Pragati Yatra, where he inaugurated and laid the groundwork for multiple developmental projects valued at crores.

CM Kumar inaugurated the long-awaited multi-village water supply scheme in Keshopur, which had been stalled for 15 years.

He also remotely inaugurated the Nikrish Pump Canal in Chausa block, laid the foundation stone for a railway overbridge near Raghunathpur railway station, and launched a light and sound show facility at Buxar’s Ramrekhaghat. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the Vishwamitra Tourist Hotel, constructed by the Tourism Department at Buxar Golambar.

Following these events, the CM is scheduled to visit the Buxar Collectorate to assess development projects and convene a meeting with senior officials from various departments.

The district administration has arranged comprehensive measures for the CM’s visit. The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police conducted a joint meeting with police officers and magistrates on Friday to ensure heightened security during his stay.

As part of his Pragati Yatra, CM Nitish Kumar is visiting districts daily, evaluating government initiatives, inaugurating schemes, and addressing local concerns.

This visit to Buxar is anticipated to propel development efforts and benefit the district’s residents.

During his Pragati Yatra, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated and laid foundation stones for over 230 development projects totaling ₹352 crore across Arwal and Jehanabad districts on Friday.

In Arwal, he initiated and laid the groundwork for 114 development projects worth ₹111 crore.

He inaugurated a newly-built sluice gate in Mahavirganj village, Karpi block, inspected the Ahar, Pain, and Chhath Ghat at Belkhara, and launched numerous public amenities, including a government degree college, sports complex, health and wellness center, renovated Surya Mandir, Chhath Ghat, and pond under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan.

He reviewed the Baidarabad path development adjacent to the proposed bus stand in the Arwal Municipal Council area. In Jehanabad, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 116 projects worth ₹241 crore.

He opened the government OBC residential girls' senior secondary school in Dharhara and unveiled a new building and playground for an upgraded senior secondary school in Kazisarai Village.
