Patna, Feb 15 (NationPress) Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV) MP Shambhavi Choudhary countered RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's recent assertion that the BJP will never achieve power in Bihar as long as he remains politically engaged.
Choudhary ridiculed Lalu's remarks, deeming them unrealistic and groundless.
She emphasized that in spite of Lalu’s active campaigning during the recent by-elections, the NDA emerged victorious in all four constituencies—Tarari, Ramgarh, Belaganj, and Imamganj.
“Lalu Prasad himself campaigned in Belaganj, yet we won all four seats. What does that imply about his influence?” she questioned.
Lalu Prasad Yadav made his statement on Thursday, directly criticizing the BJP ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly election scheduled for 2025.
Choudhary continued to challenge Lalu, asserting that even with his presence in Bihar, “the NDA achieved a remarkable victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, capturing 30 out of 40 seats in Bihar. The NDA also triumphed in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections.”
“We consistently win elections while Lalu Prasad Yadav is present in Bihar, and we are poised to win the 2025 Assembly election by a significant margin too,” she insisted.
She criticized the RJD's caste-based politics, indicating that it is no longer effective in Bihar.
“The voters of Bihar are now prioritizing development, and the NDA symbolizes development,” she added.
As the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 draw near, the rivalry between the NDA and RJD’s Grand Alliance is intensifying.
While Lalu relies on his political influence, NDA leaders express confidence in their electoral strength and development initiatives.
Both RJD and NDA representatives are amplifying their critiques of one another. While Lalu Yadav contends that the BJP cannot secure victories in Bihar, the NDA’s recent by-election wins suggest a contrasting narrative.
The political clash between RJD’s Grand Alliance and the BJP-JDU-led NDA is far from concluded, with both factions preparing for a vigorous electoral contest.
