The explosion took place in Medchal town, near Hyderabad, on Monday night.

The force of the blast caused the structure to collapse, resulting in the destruction of three shops and inflicting damage on surrounding buildings.

As per police reports, the explosion originated from a residence on Market Road in Medchal town, located in the Medchal Malkajgiri district.

The affected building was owned by Sriramulu Goud, a former member of the Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC).

This 50-year-old establishment featured two flower shops and a mobile shop at the front, while the rear was occupied by Goud's sister, Thirupathamma (55).

Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud explosion followed by the immediate collapse of the building.
