Bhopal, June 2 (NationPress) Following meetings in Jabalpur and Indore, the Madhya Pradesh government is set to convene a special Cabinet meeting in Pachmarhi, the state's only hill station, on June 3.

This meeting will honor the valor and legacy of Raja Bhabhut Singh, regarded as a beacon of tribal pride and courage, as stated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday.

In a video broadcast, the Chief Minister shared that the Cabinet meeting at the Raj Bhavan in Pachmarhi aims to pay tribute to Gond king Bhabhut Singh, who actively resisted British rule, reflecting the BJP-led administration's commitment to celebrating tribal heroes.

"The Madhya Pradesh government is holding the Cabinet meeting outside of Bhopal to acknowledge our legendary figures. Two weeks prior, a meeting was conducted in Indore to honor Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, and now the focus shifts to Pachmarhi on Tuesday," the Chief Minister remarked.

He emphasized that while pursuing economic, industrial, and infrastructure advancement, the state government remains dedicated to safeguarding the social and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh.

According to him, Pachmarhi is not only famous for its stunning landscapes but also holds deep ties with the cultural heritage of the tribal community.

"The state government is resolute in showcasing every glorious aspect and safeguarding the interests of all societal sections," he stated.

“From an administrative viewpoint, the decision to host the Cabinet meeting in Pachmarhi also acknowledges and celebrates the area's historical, cultural, and ecological significance,” added the Chief Minister.

In his video message, the Chief Minister underscored that Raja Bhabhut Singh played a crucial role in unifying the tribal community to protect vital resources such as water, forests, and land against external threats and British forces.

He actively resisted British domination and supported the esteemed freedom fighter Tatya Tope during India’s struggle for independence.

Responding to Tatya Tope’s call, Raja Bhabhut Singh engaged in the freedom movement, advancing through the scenic Satpura valleys.

With the Madhya Pradesh government preparing for this significant meeting, there is growing speculation about whether Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah, who was absent from two previous Cabinet meetings including the special one in Indore, will attend this time.

Point of View

I believe the Madhya Pradesh government's initiative to hold special Cabinet meetings outside Bhopal, focusing on tribal heroes, is a commendable approach to foster inclusivity and honor the vast cultural diversity of our nation.
