Bhopal, Feb 13 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board on Thursday entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finland-based organization ‘V Real’ at Samatva Bhavan in Bhopal Niwas.

The agreement was executed in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Finland's Ambassador to India, Kimmo Lahdevirta.

During this event, Chief Minister Yadav stated that the MP Tourism Board and the Finnish organization ‘V Real’ explored the integration of modern technology at tourist attractions, historical heritage sites, and museums across the state.

He mentioned that this virtual tour initiative would enable enthusiasts of tourism, history, and culture to delve into the rich heritage and illustrious history of Madhya Pradesh from the comfort of their own countries.

"This initiative is anticipated to enhance the promotion of the state's tourism sites and historical landmarks on a global scale, boosting international tourist arrivals," the Chief Minister remarked.

Sheoshekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, noted that the Finland-based organization ‘V Real’ has been dedicated to preserving history, culture, and heritage through advanced technology, producing high-quality videos.

"These virtual tours are accessible on their platforms, catering to the general public, including travel agencies and educational institutions worldwide," he added.

A senior representative of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) reported that Kimmo Lahdevirta visited the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum and commended the impressive representation of tribal life and culture.

"He was particularly captivated by the museum's thoughtful design and immersive presentation, deeming it a must-visit destination," the official stated.

The Ambassador also expressed a strong interest in exploring Madhya Pradesh's UNESCO World Heritage Sites during his visit.

Currently, Madhya Pradesh boasts three UNESCO sites - the Khajuraho temple complex, Sanchi Stupa, and Bhimbetka.

The central government has accepted the dossier prepared by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, nominating Orchha's group of monuments for the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The recommendation for the inclusion of Orchha has been proposed for 2027-28.

Vishal V. Sharma, the Indian ambassador to UNESCO, formally submitted the dossier to Lazare Eloundou Assomo, director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre during an event in New Delhi.
