Madhya Pradesh to Digitally Transform Operations in 40 Additional Mandis Starting January 1

Bhopal, Dec 28 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh government is gearing up to broaden the e-Mandi program, adding more than 40 new mandis across the state starting January 1.
This move aims to promote transparency and facilitate easier access for businesses to obtain bills for their products at the mandis.
The initiative has been functioning for several years in 42 mandis situated in various districts within the state.
An extensive proposal was submitted to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav by the Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board (Mandi Board) for the expansion of this proven scheme, which received approval, according to an official.
The process has been made more convenient for farmers through the Mandi app.
Farmers can now create their own entry slips via their mobile devices before arriving at the mandi.
After generating the entry slip, they will not need to re-provide their complete information to the mandis.
Once the entry slip is prepared, farmers can head directly to the auction locations within the mandi premises to auction their agricultural products.
"With the e-Mandi scheme, farmers will be empowered to create their own slips for selling their products in the mandis. They won't have to wait in line for selling their goods or for the entry slip," the official emphasized.
It is anticipated that a real-time online record of the agricultural products sold by farmers in the market will be maintained.
"Farmers will have access to information regarding which trader has purchased their produce and at what price," the official added.
Furthermore, the state government aims to implement this system across all 259 mandis by April 2025.
