Maha Kumbh 2025: Enhanced Safety Measures with Life Jackets, Floating Jetties & Rescue Equipment

Prayagraj, Dec 3 (NationPress) In its endeavor to make Maha Kumbh 2025 one of the most significant and secure pilgrimages, the Uttar Pradesh government has unveiled innovative remote light buoys, life jackets for security staff, floating jetties, and rescue tubes.

These modern devices are crafted to swiftly access any area, guaranteeing the safety of individuals in case of emergencies.

Furthermore, 700 flag-mounted boats, operated by PAC, NDRF, and SDRF personnel, are on duty around the clock to safeguard the pilgrims.

In case of emergencies, a thorough evacuation strategy via Maujgiri has been established.

Instructions have been given to eliminate all rundown boats functioning between Sangam Nose and Kilaghat.

Security teams from PAC, SDRF, and NDRF are also participating in training focused on modern technologies and emergency response. State-of-the-art life jackets, four new floating jetties, and rescue tubes have been secured for the security personnel to ensure they are equipped to manage any crisis.

Specialized security measures have been implemented at Kila Ghat to facilitate the smooth passage of VIPs and ensure the safety of all pilgrims. Special forces will monitor the area to address any challenges faced by worshippers, both domestically and internationally.

Stringent security protocols are also being enforced from Saraswati Ghat to Sangam Ghat, with extensive barricading in place. Additionally, the setup of nets around the ghat is nearing completion.

Flood relief units from the PAC battalion have also conducted assessments at Sangam Ghat and other bathing locations. Rehearsals were held to prepare for any potential emergencies.

Rajiv Narayan Mishra, Inspector General of Police, Eastern Zone, Prayagraj, urged the officers to remain vigilant and execute their responsibilities with dedication.

He also mentioned that seven PAC companies have been dispatched to ensure the safety of attendees at Maha Kumbh. One company is assigned to the GRP, and another to the Commissionerate.

Moreover, five companies have been positioned at the fair, with two of these focused on flood relief operations. These teams consist of adept swimmers trained to handle any emergencies that may occur.

Personnel assigned for Maha Kumbh are undergoing specialized communication training to guarantee smooth coordination. They are also being instructed on effective communication while transitioning between boats.
