Maha Kumbh: Revamping of ICCC Centre for the Grand Event

Prayagraj, Nov 30 (NationPress) The groundwork for the significant Maha Kumbh 2025 is actively progressing under the supervision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, as global attention focuses on this monumental occasion in Uttar Pradesh.

As part of the numerous initiatives in motion, the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Prayagraj is undergoing enhancements to guarantee efficient management and improved safety for the millions of pilgrims expected to flock to Kumbh 2025.

The ICCC, originally set up during Kumbh 2019, was instrumental in the successful execution of the event, utilizing advanced technologies like AI, chatbots, live surveillance, and CCTV monitoring. Nevertheless, with Maha Kumbh 2025 expected to be even more grandiose, the government has embarked on significant upgrades to the ICCC to handle the increased scale and ensure smooth operations.

During a recent visit to Prayagraj, Chief Minister Adityanath inspected the upgrade progress at the ICCC and instructed officials to accelerate the work. Emphasizing his vision of integrating heritage with modernity, the revamped ICCC is designed to blend cutting-edge technology with traditional cultural practices, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for pilgrims.

A government representative detailed the ongoing enhancements. He stated that the installation of 1,650 new CCTV cameras for all-encompassing monitoring is in progress, along with the deployment of 24 APNR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras and 40 VMCD (Vehicle Monitoring and Control Devices). Furthermore, 268 and 240 AI-based components for crowd management and vehicle tracking are being introduced.

In additional upgrades, the Call Centre capacity has been expanded by 20 seats for quicker query resolutions, 100 smart parking systems have been implemented for effective vehicle management, and dedicated viewing and monitoring facilities at Arail and Jhunsi are being built to support the ICCC Mela and MCR Centres.

Moreover, for railway station monitoring, AI-controlled CCTV cameras are being installed to manage crowds at nine railway stations; a 24/7 Helpline Service will soon be operational, and a dedicated 1920 helpline will begin service on December 1 to assist pilgrims with inquiries and complaints.

The ICCC upgrade is being executed in collaboration with leading engineering institutions across the nation, ensuring the incorporation of state-of-the-art solutions. Maha Kumbh 2025 is set to honor the traditions of this ancient assembly while establishing a benchmark in technological integration and crowd management.

On Friday, a preliminary event for Maha Kumbh 2025 took place at the Ashoka Hotel in Delhi, featuring Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh.

Shekhawat praised the Yogi Adityanath government for its thorough planning regarding this grand cultural and spiritual assembly. He stressed that the Uttar Pradesh government has the full backing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India.

Shekhawat highlighted the immense significance of Maha Kumbh for India's civilization, culture, and Sanatan Dharma. He assured that substantial efforts are in motion to provide a seamless experience for all devotees.
