Mahakumbh Nagar, Jan 22 (NationPress) As a significant number of devotees continue to flock from both India and abroad for the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025 in the sacred city of Prayagraj, more than 9.24 crore participants have engaged in the holy bath ('Amrit Snan') in the River Ganga since the event commenced on January 13, according to the latest estimates from the Uttar Pradesh government, reported till 8 p.m. on Tuesday (January 21).
On Tuesday (January 21), approximately 43.18 lakh devotees visited Mahakumbh Nagar.
Official records indicate that by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, over 43.18 lakh individuals had partaken in the sacred bath ('Amrit Snan') during the Mahakumbh.
Additionally, more than 10 lakh devotees have engaged in 'Kalpavas', a revered ritual rooted in ancient texts like the Brahma Purana and Padma Purana. This observance signifies a time of penance and a chance to elevate oneself spiritually.
