Mahakumbh Nagar, Jan 14 (NationPress) The inaugural 'Amrit Snan' of Mahakumbh 2025 commenced on the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, as millions of devotees expressed their contentment with the Railway's provisions for this grand religious and spiritual gathering.
Saints and pilgrims took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, the revered confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati, located in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj.
In an effort to ensure the secure travel of devotees, the Railways has revealed that thousands of trains will operate towards and from Prayagraj, connecting various states across the nation.
In light of the Mahakumbh, numerous special trains will also be running from multiple regions to Prayagraj.
Moreover, security measures have been established at the entrance of every train.
A visitor to Mahakumbh, Aanchal, who traveled from Delhi for the sacred dip ('Amrit Snan'), remarked to IANS: "There are excellent arrangements here. The district administration and the Uttar Pradesh government are managing the influx of devotees well. Additionally, they have also attended to those without travel tickets."
Another visitor, Awadhesh, hailing from Bihar's Sitamarhi, shared with IANS: "I came here to take the sacred dip ('Amrit Snan') at the Mahakumbh. Now, I am returning to Muzaffarpur (Bihar). The local administration has made good provisions, so devotees are not facing any issues."
Visitor Poonam Giri expressed to IANS: "The Uttar Pradesh government has organized well here in Prayagraj. I felt a sense of happiness, serenity, and peace while attending the Mahakumbh."
On the second day of the Mahakumbh, over 3.5 crore devotees participated in the Amrit Snan at the banks of Sangam during the celebration of Makar Sankranti.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared this news on social media on Tuesday.
CM Yogi Adityanath noted that on the occasion of the first 'Amrit Snan' on Tuesday, more than 3.5 crore saints and devotees bathed at the Triveni Sangam, earning virtuous rewards.
