Amaravati, Dec 31 (NationPress) A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, where a man was charred to death following a collision between two vehicles.
According to police reports, a Bolero vehicle ignited after crashing into an unidentified vehicle on the Nandyal-Amaravati highway. The driver became trapped amidst the flames, leading to his death by burning. Another occupant in the same vehicle sustained injuries.
The collision took place near Rangareddypalle village in Racharla mandal at approximately 5:45 a.m.
Police revealed that the Bolero, loaded with cashew nuts, was en route to Anantapur from Tuni when it collided with the unidentified vehicle coming from the opposite direction, resulting in the fire.
Upon being alerted by bystanders, fire service personnel arrived promptly with a fire engine and extinguished the blaze.
The deceased has been identified as Swamy (50). The injured individual, Kandipalli Jayarami Reddy, was transported to the government hospital in Giddalur.
