Shillong, Oct 27 (NationPress) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma conducted a review on Monday regarding the advancement of the Local Managed Connectivity (LMC) initiative and its integration with the State Wide Area Network (SWAN). This review highlights the government's ambition to establish a cohesive and robust digital infrastructure throughout the state.

In a recent post on X, Sangma stated, “Reviewed the progress of the Local Managed Connectivity (LMC) project and its alignment with our State Wide Area Network (SWAN). This integration will form the backbone of our state’s master network, strengthening digital connectivity across departments and administrative units.”

The Chief Minister has instructed the IT Department to devise a comprehensive district and block-wise connectivity strategy to ensure better coordination of projects and avoid redundancy.

Sangma stressed the significance of prompt implementation and precise data mapping to facilitate seamless digital governance at all administrative tiers.
